YOUTH CO-ED RUGBY (AGE 5 - 14)
There’s no sport quite like rugby. This dynamic game integrates speed, strength, agility and endurance. But the best part is that it’s so much fun, it creates a beautiful community and sparks friendships that last a lifetime.
We’re inviting boys and girls, ages 5-14, to come out and give rugby a try! The Boulder rugby program welcomes all youth, no experience necessary, for an athletic adventure that will build their confidence and enrich their lives.
CO-ED TEAMS (5-11):
These are segmented by age for 8 and Under (8U), 10U, and 12U. Don’t worry – we’ll help you figure out the right team based on your child’s birthdate and ability. The youngest play flag rugby, and game rules progress from there.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS (12-14):
We also have a middle school boys team, including a “Tier 1” side for newer, younger players and a “Tier 2” side for once they’ve progressed, and aim to build up a middle school girls team. We play against teams from up and down the Front Range in the TRY Youth Rugby league.
Estimated membership dues (including processing fees):
8U: $150-$160
10U-12U: $200 - 210
Middle School : $200 - 210
Scholarships available. Please don’t let registration fees be a barrier to your child playing.

GET GEARED UP
Rugby doesn’t require a lot of equipment – just an open mind and a little grit. Here’s what your child needs for practice:
-
water bottle and snacks
-
pre-applied sunscreen and bug repellant
-
soccer-style cleats
-
mouth guard
-
rugby shorts
For games, the list above plus a pair of rugby socks will do. We’ll share links to navy rugby shorts and navy rugby socks available for purchase. We provide team jerseys at the field, which are returned immediately post-game and washed up by a parent volunteer for the next week.
Lastly, we also provide all youth with a free Boulder Rugby training shirt, so they can represent their team with pride on and off the pitch.
