HIGH SCHOOL BOYS
Our successful high school team, the Boulder Lions, currently competes in Rocky Mountain Division II, North League. We field two teams: the JV Team (Freshman/Sophomore) and the Varsity Team (Junior/Senior).
The coaches aim to create a positive environment for teammates, regardless of age, experience, or ability.
No previous experience is necessary to play, we'll teach you everything you need to know. In rugby there is a position for all abilities, shapes, and sizes. Many of our players start out playing soccer, football, lacrosse, or basketball, as well as skiing, running, and climbing.
High school membership fee is $270 (full season includes Boulder Club dues, USA Rugby registration, and Rugby Colorado registration).
TRAINING SCHEDULE
Our training schedule starts in the winter from early January with indoor training. As soon as weather permits, we train outdoors during spring and summer from March through June.
All players are expected to train every week:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
5pm to 6:30pm
Indoor training at the CU Bubble/ outdoor training at Tom Watson Park
Competitive Games for JV are usually Monday evenings, while Varsity games are mostly weeknights on Wednesday through Friday. 2021 is a little different with games on Saturdays.
Both teams play 15’s from February to May, and then compete in a 7's league during May/June.

MATCH SCHEDULE
The HS Boys team is practicing Tuesday and Thursday 5-6:30 at the Kittredge Fields on the CU campus and we are still actively recruiting new players 9-12th grade.
